Bill Killebrew: Paintings from the Last Ten Years: June 18, 2010-August 20, 2010
acclaimed artist Wayne White called Bill Killebrew "one of Nashville’s undiscovered geniuses — truly an amazing painter." In the 1980s, Killebrew was one of a group of renegade talents coming out of MTSU’s art department, where he credits the late faculty member David LeDoux — a famously tough instructor — with allowing him the freedom to chart his own course between representational work and the abstract-expressionist style LeDoux favored. "The approach to painting is the same," Killebrew says, "but you’re still painting a picture of something."
